![]() ![]() I can even run Rise of the Triad fairly well now, still get a lot of framerate drops, but that game is playable now which is saying something, and this game runs pretty well on high/ultra settings with SSAO and reflections off. That's a pretty rudimentary way of explaining it, but it works. 8 GB will also be needed to achieve the Shadow Warrior 2 rec specs and get 60FPS. And once the framerate drops it never improves unless you restart the game. This PC setup will deliver 60 Frames Per Second on High graphics settings on 1080p monitor resolution. It will always try to get back to 5%, taking off CPU allocation for stuff like Shadow Warrior, lowering the percentage of CPU power it can use. Love the game in general but having massive framerate drops in some missions. The previous power plan that is the default for Windows 7 is balanced, which has the minimum at 5%. If you go to its advanced settings, under "Processor power management" check its Minimum processor state, it should be 100%. ![]() Update all your system drivers, including your AMD or Nvidia GPU. Also install the latest version of Direct X. Make sure you have the latest version of Visual C++ Redistributable installed on your system. In the local files tab, click Verify game cache. Pick the performance power plan.Restart your computer. Right click on Shadow Warrior 2 and select properties. After a quick google search, I found some games just aren't given priority or allowed to have enough allocation, and sometimes resources is taken away from the game entirely.īasically, go to control panel via Start>Control Panel>Search "Power">Select a Power Plan. I noticed my CPU usage never, ever went over 40%.Strangely, CPU usage went down during fights and intensive areas, which made me think my computer was lowering priority of the Shadow Warrior application. I opened task manager and kept it up on my second monitor, and player Shadow Warrior on default medium settings, chapter 13, the apparently hardest to run area in the game. I was close to giving up on getting the game to run well. Before I made a couple of threads on how I just couldn't get this game to run well, it would run half decent at best, with the combat basically being a flipbook, playable, but just barely and no possible way I could play the game on a higher difficulty as the choppiness made it impossible to make precise movement.Īnyway, I found the root of my problem and perhaps others. ![]()
